Responsibilities:

The Risk Management Department Class (D-Class) IT team is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of agile and quick solutions that support the Risk Management division of Enterprise Holdings. Risk Management is responsible for overseeing and controlling insurance risks related to all aspects of the business. Software applications include operational products used to process and manage insurance claims, as well as reporting solutions for business analysis.

The Software Engineer Associate is responsible for developing prototypes and assisting with application coding and programming. This position assists with interpreting end-user business requirements to develop and/or modify technical design specifications for off-the-shelf and/or custom-developed applications. The Software Engineer Associate also assists with the analysis and review of software requirements to determine feasibility of a design within time and cost restraints. In addition, this position assists with performing unit and integration testing and may assist with developing unit test scripts.

  • Interpret end-user business requirements to develop and/or modify technical design specifications
  • Code and successfully perform unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution as well as adherence to the business and technical requirements
  • Work with other software engineers and/or architects to design interfaces between software applications
  • Use system traces and debugging tools for problem determination and system tuning
  • Assists manager and team with the development of standards
  • Perform necessary production support tasks

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor?s degree required in Computer Science or other related industries
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of SQL and .Net programming languages
  • Knowledge of Windows operating system
